Overview

In the civilian tactical environment, seconds count. TECC for Law Enforcement Officers and First Responders (TECC-LEO) teaches law enforcement officers how to care for patients during a civilian tactical emergency, including active shootings. This program is designed to decrease preventable deaths in the field. Developed by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT), TECC-LEO is designed to train those without advanced medical training how to stay safe and keep partners and bystanders alive.

Formed in 1975 and more than 32,000 members strong, the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) is the nation’s only organization solely dedicated to representing the professional interests of all EMS practitioners, including paramedics, emergency medical technicians, emergency medical responders and other professionals working in prehospital emergency medicine.
