Tears of the Moon

Overview

Harper Barrett is about to embark on the 'trip of a lifetime' in Peru. Visions of Machu Picchu, beaming selfies, and alpacas dance in her head as she wings her way to the land of the Inca. CIA agent Nick Robbins is in desperate need of a vacation. He has his eyes set on a tropical beach where he can dig his toes in the sand and let all his cares drift away while he sips some umbrella topped concoction. But you know what they say about best laid vacation plans ... From the moment she lands, Harper is propelled into a staggering misadventure. Lucky for her, Nick Robbins stumbles across her path in all his ruggedly handsome (but somewhat battered and bruised) glory. Harper and Nick join forces as they race against time to help untangle an ancient mystery, traverse unexpected desire, and find a strong enough cell signal to call for help. And Harper learns that being a good friend doesn't just involve bailing someone out of jail, it sometimes requires hiring mercenaries. Tears of the Moon is the first book in the Secrets of the Moon trilogy. This action adventure romcom has Sharp's trademark humor, well-written prose and impeccable pace. It's Romancing the Stone meets The Spy who Dumped Me.

Author Information

Legend has it that Nicole Sharp was born to hippies during an ice storm in Stone Mountain, Georgia. While confirmation of said events cannot be agreed upon, one fact is for certain, it was a Tuesday. By age twelve, Nicole was sure of two things. 1) She wanted to be a writer and 2) She wanted to travel. She begged her parents to allow her to voyage alone to exotic lands. She was allowed to go from California to Boise Idaho to visit a great-grandmother.In the course of her writing career, Nicole has been published in a smattering of literary magazines but these days, she swigs coffee the way a dehydrated sailor with scurvy would whiskey as she writes about Italy, love, coffee and the quirky adventures of fearless women. She lives in the Pacific Northwest with no houseplants and three pink stovetop espresso makers.
