She has two research degrees in Mathematics Education, from Kings College, London (M.Phil) and Exeter University (PhD). She was responsible for teachers' professional development courses funded by the government for 7 years, working with hundreds of teachers. Prior to her academic career she was a member of a Local Education Authority advisory team. Koshy's other passion and interest is developing children's giftedness and specific talents.
