Author Information

Eugenia Mora-Flores, Ed.D., is a Professor of Clinical Education with Distinction at the University of Southern California, specializing in first- and second-language acquisition and literacy development. She serves as the coordinator of the bilingual and cross-cultural program and works as a consultant in the areas of English Language Development (ELD), Specially Designed Academic Instruction in English (SDAIE), and writing instruction for English language learners. Stephanie Dewing, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Education and Chair of the Bilingual Authorization Advisory Board at the Rossier School of Education at the University of Southern California (USC). A former classroom teacher in Ecuador and the United States, she specializes in language and literacy development and dual-language instruction, with an emphasis on newcomers.
