OverviewAlgebra is the gatekeeper to college and careers. Students often struggle to understand the transition from the concrete world of arithmetic and numbers to the abstract world of algebra and letters. Based on research on misconceptions that students often are challenged with as they try to learn algebra, the Center for Algebraic Thinking (algebraicthinking.org) has created multiple iPad apps to address some of those struggles. This book guides teachers in using those apps with activities and worksheets that maximize the apps' potential in the classroom. Most apps are available for free from the iTunes store.
