Author Information

Therese Samperi is a retired educator who has spent more than 44 years working in schools. She served the students of the Aldine Independent School District as a Teacher, Counselor, Assistant Principal, and Principal. Since her retirement as Principal of Eisenhower Senior High School she has worked as an Educational Consultant mentoring Principals at all grade levels. Ms. Samperi spent the first 20 years at the elementary/intermediate grade level and her last 16 years of work in Aldine in the high school level. She was the principal of two different schools, MacArthur Ninth Grade school where she opened a brand new building. While at MacArthur Ninth Grade School, the campus achieved an Exemplary Rating with the Texas Education Agency. In 2006, Ms. Samperi moved to Eisenhower Senior High School to work with a campus that was in AYP trouble with the Federal Accountability System. In just three short years, the school moved out of AYP into a rating of being a Recognized Campus. In 2010, Ms. Samperi retired but didn't stay retired long. She quickly went to work for the Texas Center for District and School Success. She served schools in districts all over the Houston area for 8 years as a professional Service Provider. Ms. Samperi is a proud mother and grandmother of four beautiful grandchildren. Her love for children continues to focus on the students in the Houston area, she also focuses much of her attention on loving and being with her grandchildren. This book is the result of her sharing work she did as a principal with the principal's that she has mentored as a PSP. One should never reinvent the wheel, share, share, share.
