He has been a guest on many national and local radio and television stations (such as NPR, C-Span, ABC, etc.), and he has written six books; four are fiction (including The Infidels, Teacher of the Year, As Best We Can, and The Fire Within; both Teacher of the Year and The Fire Within made university reading lists).
