Overview

When little Tayla refuses to go to bed, Insisting that there are monsters hiding in her room, her parents lovingly reassure her. They go through a comforting bedtime routine - milk, teeth brushing, pyjamas - and help Tayla investigate her bedroom, checking the wardrobe, drawers, and finally under the bed. Each time instead of finding monsters they find treasured toys: a red ladybird teddy, a cuddly blue sailor, and a green alligator toy that once belonged to her dad. With each discovery Tayla feels a little braver, until she realises theres nothing to fear. The story ends with her parents gently tucking her in, reminding her she is safe, loved, and never alone.
