Author Information

Alan D. Campbell received his BS in accounting and his MBA in business administration from Arkansas State University and received his PhD in accounting from the University of North Texas. He is a certified public accountant in Arkansas and Florida. He is also a certified management accountant, and he is admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court. He has served on the accounting faculty at several major universities. His practical experience includes representing clients before the IRS. He is coauthor of the book Tax Strategies for the Self-Employed and revision editor of the 13th, 14th, and 15th editions of the CCH Financial and Estate Planning Guide. His articles have been published in major accounting and tax journals including the Journal of Accountancy, The Tax Adviser, and Practical Tax Strategies. Alan lives in Florida where he enjoys going to theme parks and the beach.
