Ronkholz's typological photographs of German drink kiosks are directly influenced by the work of her mentors, Bernd and Hilla Becher Between 1977 and 1983, Tata Ronkholz (1940-97) photographed more than one hundred ""Trinkhallen"" (drink kiosks) across Germany's Rhine and Ruhr valleys. Her objective, documentary images are reprinted here in full-bleed duotone.
