Overview

Elena Poniatowska believes that it would have benefited her to leave journalism to dedicate herself to the novel, but she could not do so because her profession caught her. In several afternoon of tea with journalist Gustavo Borges in Chimalistac, she shared this and other confessions about her profession. The chronicle Tardes de té con Elena, selected by the Gabo Foundation for a workshop by Martín Caparrós in 2023, is not a biography or an apology, but a profile portrait of the influential Mexican author. Gustavo Borges presents the key moments of Poniatowska's work with a sharp and emotional approach.
