OverviewOn October 16, 2025, the rock world lost one of its true icons - when Ace Frehley passed away at the age of 74. As the original ""Spaceman"" and lead guitarist in Kiss, Frehley inspired and influenced countless other guitar players in his wake. Serving as a member of the band throughout the '70s (an era in which the masked and costumed group became one of the most popular and successful rock acts), Frehley penned and/or sang many a Kiss classic, including ""Cold Gin,"" ""Strange Ways,"" ""Shock Me,"" ""Rocket Ride,"" and ""2000 Man."" And when all four Kiss members issued solo albums in 1978, Frehley's is widely considered to be the best of the bunch - serving as a true testament to his musical talents. However, Frehley's life - both personally and professionally - was marked with many highs and lows. But through it all, he continued to be beloved by his legion of fans, and further issued inspired and great music, right up until the end. To celebrate the life and career of Ace, respected rock journalist Greg Prato has compiled all of the many times he interviewed Frehley over the years into a single book, TALK TO ME: Conversations With Ace Frehley, covering a wide variety of topics (from his Kiss years through his solo career, his personal life, songwriting, his guitar playing and gear, etc.). Also included are all-new and previously unpublished ""tribute interviews"" with renowned names from the rock world. Featuring Eddie Trunk, Joe Bonamassa, and Soundgarden's Kim Thayil (as well as a short but colorful chat with Rush's Alex Lifeson), among others, who share their memories and thoughts about the guitarist, and discuss how they would like him to be remembered. Plus, a foreword provided by Matt Pinfield, and many vintage photos of Ace from throughout the years. Through these pages, Ace's voice, humor, and spirit live on - reminding us why the original Spaceman will forever shine among rock's brightest stars.
