He is the author of the books Where There's Smoke, There's Barbecue, Flight of the Angel Falls, The Unexpected Harvest, and Tales of the Prairie Hearts. As a filmmaker he has won many awards, including being nominated for an Academy Award, and winning an Emmy Award for writing. He has written/directed/produced over 350 films for the LDS Church Film/Video group, including PSA's and Mormon Messages.
