Overview

L. A. Lewis - Tales of the Grotesque: Special Extended Edition. The collection, under its original title, Tales of the Grotesque: A Collection of Uneasy Tales, was first published by Philip Allen & Co in 1934, part of the ""Creeps"" series. The title was reprinted in 1994 by The Ghost Story Press, edited by Richard Dalby, which included an additional story and biographical information about Lewis and his work that was previously unknown. Dalby said that Lewis ""earns a high place among the best masters of supernatural and macabre literature that Britain has ever produced"". This special edition contains all eleven of Lewis' tales, the introduction by Richard Dalby and additional articles by Mark Valentine, Des Lewis and Kev Demant, plus reviews of the original book from various sources.
