After much coaxing from his family and Engen Books to get him to edit this outdoor anthology, Gord Follett finally agreed, but said only if - IF - I could get the writers that I wanted... That would be key. I wanted the best writers around. As editor of the Newfoundland Sportsman magazine for 30-plus years, along with meeting countless other individuals in my travels whom I 'sensed' could put their outdoor stories on paper in award-winning style, I knew this had great promise... long story short, I got them!
