Eamon Doyle, born in Wexford, is a retired public servant who has lived in Athlone for many years. Keenly interested in local history, that of his native county in particular, he wrote March into Meath in 1996, which deals with the aftermath of the 1798 Rebellion, and has also had a number of historical articles published
