Overview

News from the Middle East finds us wherever we live in today's world. Children often wonder about this far-removed land, while parents struggle to teach their children about Islam. Tales of Persia is a timely book of missionary stories that will teach readers about Islam and encourage a new generation of Christians to spread the gospel. This book is especially useful for family devotions and Sunday school classes. Tales of Persia includes seven beautifully detailed full-page illustrations.

Reviews

A great book by a great missionary. I recommend it very highly as a book to be used to encourage a new generation of Christians to do gospel missions among Muslims.--Anees Zaka, co-author of The Truth About Islam From the time of David and Esther, light has shined out of Persia. Today more Persians are glowing with the radiance of Jesus. Some are martyred. Their testimonies are an axis of hope. This wonderful heritage shimmers through the stories in this book.--Miriam Adeney, author of Daughters of Islam Tales of Persia is a gem that I want my grandchildren to read. Much that we hear about Iran is frightening. Here we learn about another side--children, moms, and dads, shepherds, sick people--and missionaries who take risks to bring healing and news about Jesus to Iranian people. The contagious love of God for Iranians shines through on every page.--Roger Greenway, editor of Samuel Zwemer's Islam and the Cross These stories illustrate that the gospel has the power to change the lives of Muslims and bring them to faith in Jesus. I enjoyed reading this book, as did my family.--Bruce McDowell, co-author of Muslims and Christians at the Table Timeless tales, brimming with details of the brilliant advance of the gospel in Persia, now called Iran--a land now under the shadow of Islam. We learn what Islam is, how it differs from Christianity, and why people need to be saved from it. Highly recommended.--Don McCurry, editor of The Gospel and Islam
