OverviewTales of a frontier cavalryman are related, as told by his daughter. The stories come from the descriptions of Maj. Gen. Guy Edward Carleton, a graduate of West Point in 1883, who served in the U.S. Army during late struggles with Native Americans, in Cuba and the Philippines, and in WWI.
