Overview

GETTING THE RIGHT PEOPLE, IN THE RIGHT PLACE, AT THE RIGHT TIME, WITH THE RIGHT MOTIVATION. Tom Casey and his collaborators want ALL CEOs to appreciate the imminent “Perfect Storm” of human capital change. As CEOs navigate the unchartered waters of globalization, declining engagement, and shifting demographics, they are seeing a dramatic imbalance between talent needs and talent availability. As well, CEOs are confronted with the difference in work styles and priorities of four generations of employees and need to reconcile their distinct aspirations to ensure maximum productivity. Talent Readiness addresses the top ten human capital challenges of the new decade, and provides immediate solutions to harness the unique skills and attitudes of the new labor market.

Reviews

I have known and admired Tom Casey for over 20 years. I hired him and benefited from his wise counsel at Arthur D. Little and later induced him to join me in research and consulting with The Concours Group. He was instrumental in developing The Concours Group's service offerings related to Employee Engagement and Shifting Demographics. Tom and his collaborators Tim Donahue and Eric Seubert fellow Concours Group consultants' book on Talent Readiness is consistent with my research and writings on the topic and an important read for today's senior executives. Tammy Erickson Author of a trilogy of books on generations in the workplace, including What's Next, Gen X? We are about to enter a time of great turbulence and change where we can expect many of the traditional ideas about talent to be brought into question. In this timely book, Tom Casey and his collaborators Tim Donahue and Eric Seubert show clearly the crucial role that collaboration plays in building a working environment that is engaging and exciting and how a multi- generational workforce can truly be high performing. Professor Lynda Gratton, London Business School Author of Hotspots and Glow
