Overview

After working in the auto industry for many years as a self-employed female vendor, I decided to take some of my favorite creepy and cheesy lines from over the years and write a movie about car dealers from a woman's perspective. TAKEN FOR A RIDE is a quirky comedy about a working woman in the male dominated auto industry and includes a brief clip from the original Thelma & Louise movie and a 'would be' Danica Patrick cameo at the Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction, with what I think is a really cute signature line. Although inspired by some real events over the years, TAKEN FOR A RIDE is not a true story. It is, however, a fun read for anyone, but especially for women who work in the big man's world, or who work with, date, marry or divorce car dealers. My brother thinks this script is hilarious and a young female director is interested in making this feature. So who knows, maybe someday we can all watch the film version. But in the meantime, a producer with over forty years in film and television told me he thought this script is 'really cute, and really funny' (his words). Then he went on to tell me that if I wanted to make this film, I should not take no for an answer.
