Formerly on staff at the New Yorker and the Wall Street Journal, she lives in Brooklyn with her husband and daughter. Founded by Clay Felker and Milton Glaser in 1968, New York was one of the earliest (and loudest) proponents of the New Journalism, launching the careers of Gloria Steinem, Tom Wolfe, Jimmy Breslin, Nora Ephron, and many others. More recently, New York has won thirty-six National Magazine Awards in the past two decades--more than any other magazine--and six General Excellence awards. The Washington Post has called it ""the nation's best and most imitated city magazine."" Timothy Andrés Pabon is an English- and Spanish-speaking voice-over artist who has worked extensively in advertising and audiobook narration. He has had acting roles on House of Cards and has also been a costar on HBO's acclaimed series The Wire opposite country music legend Steve Earl. As a stage actor, he has worked off-Broadway at the June Havoc Theatre, and his regional credits include Center Stage, the Shakespeare Theatre, Arena Stage, the Hippodrome, Olney Theatre, Rep Stage, and GALA Hispanic Theatre. Marisa Blake is a multi-award winning audiobook narrator. She is bilingual in both English and Spanish and is passionate about children's literature. She has narrated dozens of audiobooks, created the YouTube channel Miss Bee's Audio Reads, and regularly volunteers with Learning Ally, an organization that records audiobooks for children with learning disabilities. She also specializes in voiceover for commercials, e-learning, telephony, and video games. When not narrating, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three boys in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina.
