Reviews

The poems are fantastic because they share the world of a 4-year-old. They also beautifully demonstrate how our reflections can be poetry. Yasmeen Ismail's illustrations are wonderful, evocative, fun and colourful. * Juno * I was blown away by these poems by Nadim... They deal with all kinds of subjects and emotions dear to this young child's heart, from having to leave his old teacher, Miss Angela, to being on a train, and what coming home feels like... It's a pleasure to read and the illustrations by Irish artist Yasmeen Ismail capture the joy and wonder of childhood perfectly. A real gem. * The Irish Independent * Four-year-old Nadim gives an eloquent child's-eye view of the world in Take Off Your Brave, an evocative collection of poems on subjects close to a child's heart. * Daily Express, Daily Mirror, Daily Mirror NI, Irish Daily Mirror and Scottish Daily Express * A moment of much needed mindfulness in a poetry compendium for all ages. Illustrated exquisitely by Yasmeen Ismail. * WRD * Nadim offers a moving and eloquent child's-eye view of the world in an enchanting, evocative and gloriously illustrated collection of poems on subjects close to the hearts of very young children. * Syndicated Piece from the Press Association *
