He is also the Director of the SOAS Centre of Taiwan Studies. Hsin-Huang Michael Hsiao is the Adjunct Research Fellow of the Institute of Sociology, in Academia Sinica, Taiwan and Chair Professor of Hakka Studies, National Central University.
