Chris Bly grew up in the Midwest where the puppy mills and backyard breeders abound. A product of divorce with no siblings and a schizophrenic mother, she clung to her canine companion as her main source of love and confidence. Her dog never told her secrets. He never expected more than she could give. He never questioned her motives. He just gave unconditional devotion and support.
