OverviewMajor progress in the characterization of the T-lymphoproliferative disorders has been made during the 1990s. These advances have been made possible by the increasing co-operation between hemato-oncologists, pathologists, and scientists and improvements in immunological and molecular methods. In this text, the author highlights the distinct disease entities and the development of new and effective therapies for the patient. This work focuses on recent advances to provide a framework for clinicians and scientists working in the field. The main clinical and laboratory features are reviewed and updated, along with classification aspects of the T-cell disorders.
