Sylvia Plath's Ghost

Overview

Sylvia Plath and Ted Hughes were a literary power couple in late 1950's and early 1960's British circles, although Sylvia did not achieve real fame until after her death in 1963. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Sylvia moved to England in 1959 with her husband, writing poetry obsessively while raising two small children. Her only novel, the semi-autobiographical The Bell Jar, became a major literary success after her death. This story begins where Sylvia's brilliant life ends, exposing the betrayals and grief that led to her tragic death by suicide, and the downfall of those who deceived and envied her.
