Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationLuís Bragança graduated in Civil Engineering at Porto University in 1982. He holds a Master degree on Thermal Engineering (1987) and a PhD on Mechanical Engineering (1995) form the same university. He is currently Professor at University of Minho (Portugal). His research interests are on the sustainability of the built environment and on evaluation tools for sustainability. He is president of the International Initiative for a Sustainable Built Environment (iiSBE). He has published more than 300 journal papers, has co-edited 6 books, and has co-authored 13 book chapters. Cristina Engel de Alvarez graduated in Architecture and Urbanism at the University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos in 1987 and holds a Master degree (1996) and PhD (2003) from the University of Sao Paolo. She is currently Professor Titular at the University Federal of Espírito Santo (Vitoria, Brasil) and President of the Espírito Santo Research and Innovation Foundation. Her research interests are on architecture in inhospitable areas and sustainability in architecture and urbanism, and climate change. She is the coordinator of the CYTED network CIRES. She has published about 80 journal papers, has co-edited 5 books, and has co-authored 15 book chapters. Luisa F. Cabeza graduated in Chemical Engineering (1992) and Industrial Engineering (1993) at Institut Químic de Sarrià (Universitat Ramon Llull) and holds a Master Degree on industrial management (1995) and a PhD on Industrial Engineering (1996) from the same university. She is currently Full Professor at the University of Lleida (Lleida, Spain). Her research interests are on thermal energy storage and sustainability in buildings, processes, and cities. She is CLA of the Building chapter of IPCC AR6. She has published more than 300 journal papers, has co-edited 9 books, and has co-authored 20 book chapters.
