Greg Valerio is British jeweller and activist who fights for a responsible mining and the use and commerce of eco-fair precious metals and stones. Greg Valerio is well known also as fair trade activist and has discussed strategies to develop fair trade with Human Rights Watch and the governments of Kenia and Uganda to improve the situation of small precious metal miners. For his work for the fair trade he has been awarded the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire by Queen Elisabeth and an MBE and Gloria Vessey Honorary award by the University of Winchester for his services to social justice.
