It includes comprehensive coverage of alternative energy technologies. The book also introduces the readers to economic concepts necessary to assess and compare the feasibility of different power plants. It is an excellent book for students who want to learn about sustainable energy technologies' technical and economic aspects and see these concepts at work. Sustainable Energy connects theory to practice and presents interesting real-world examples to accomplish this.' Ugur Soytas, Technical University of Denmark 'In these times of global upheaval arising from catastrophic climate events and/or geopolitical conflicts, we have been forced to contend with high prices of fuels and looming energy deficits. Professor Celik's book offers engineering-based solutions for the world's current and future energy needs by transitioning away from major reliance on fossil fuels to clean and renewable technologies.' Sergio Mendez, California State University, Long Beach 'Dr. Celik's book is a well-written and self-consistent overview of the energy systems in modern use and their environmental impacts. The author does an excellent job of connecting different equations and energy sources into a single cohesive textbook with excellent illustrations and examples.'
