Surviving Me: Journeys Through Managing Anxiety and Stress and Finding Spiritual Peace

Overview

Sometimes, we are our own worst enemies. Sometimes, we don't realize it until the damage has been done. If we have breath, we can change the way we handle anxiety and stress. We can gain a deeper spiritual connection that carries us through the rough times. We can grow little by little into the person we know we can be. It starts with making the decision to change. Then, you must follow it up with action. This book is insight into my world and the worlds of a few special women who chose to help you by telling their stories. We speak to you and for you when you don't have the strength to speak for yourself. You are not alone. You can manage your anxiety and stress. You can create a spiritually fulfilling life. You can reclaim your true self, redefine what success means to you, and rebuild your life one day at a time. I hope this book helps you do just that. I'm cheering for you.

Author Information

Gail Fripp is a Muslim, wife, homeschooling mother of six, entrepreneur, author, artist, perpetual student of life and persistent seeker of personal peace. She grew up Christian and her family is majority Christian. She has always been passionate about living life on her own terms and helping others do the same. She has done this in the past by creating and running a girls' youth group, speaking at conferences, being a Girl Scout leader for almost 5 years, speaking on panels, and running websites focused on women, to name a few. Currently, she finds joy in reaching a greater audience by utilizing live video discussions and interviews. She holds a bachelor's degree in business and was pursuing a master's degree in Islamic studies before shifting her focus back to homeschool and family matters. (Family first. Always.) Gail has been married for more than 20 years and is still learning and adjusting to life's natural changes. It's part of the process and she accepts the beautiful challenge. She believes in strong marriages making strong families. None of that happens without knowing yourself and being confident that you are blessed with the power and ability to design and accomplish your vision. Why She Does What She Does Her interest in the areas of anxiety, stress, and spiritual balance began when she realized that from a young age, she hesitated to be confident and to excel in her own natural gifts. It held her back in life. She noticed the same traits in many women and girls she encountered over more than three decades. Gail knew she needed to begin changing her mindset and speaking out so that others could gain strength from her experiences and newly acquired knowledge. The Goal Her goal is now to make a targeted effort to develop that self-confidence in women and girls to the point that they thrive in friendships, as spouses and parents, in business, and in spirit.
