Clare Bursky has written an exciting memoir about her family surviving the WWII Holocaust by escaping from Poland to Russia. This is an easy to read love story and adventure, that keeps you turning the pages to find out what happens next. Clare was born in Russia near the end of WWII. She retells the family's true stories and recalls things that happened to her and her family from the age of two. Since she is the only remaining Holocaust survivor of her family, she is finally able to share their exciting and heartbreaking stories. Clare Bursky spent 20 years as a New York City educator. In addition to teaching reading skills in the Public School System, she also taught adults at York College (which is part of the New York State University system).
