OverviewAfter an extensive overview of the Standard Model and of the theory and phenomenology of Supersymmetry, this book describes the recent development of the ATLAS Particle Flow algorithm, a hadronic reconstruction technique aiming at enhancing the sensitivity of the experiment to new physics through the combination of the information from different ATLAS sub-detectors. This experience convinced me to continue my academic career with a PhD in Particle Physics with the University of Geneva, where I obtained in 2020 a PhD degree working on the reconstruction of hadronic final states and searches for supersymmetric particles using the ATLAS experiment, one of the flagship detectors of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) facility at CERN. Today I am still performing my research within the ATLAS Collaboration as a postdoctoral researcher with the ATLAS group of TRIUMF, Canada's national particle accelerator centre.
