Derrick is a Hall of Fame Texas Longhorn linebacker and first-round draft pick in 2005 by the Kansas City Chiefs. He retired after thirteen seasons with the Chiefs as their all-time leading tackler in franchise history.Derrick grew up with an educational mindset. His mother, a 40+ year educator, instilled in him a love of books and brought him up to trust and believe in God. Education and faith have been a driving, positive force in his life.
