And, finally, the day has arrived when a little boy comes to get it and off they go to the beach! A truly delightful book which will entertain your little ones and keep their attention. The drawings are bright and colorful and well-done. The author recommends it for ages 3 - 6 and P - 1. I really appreciate the fact that the children will be able to enjoy looking at a number of familiar sights on a beach. There are sand castles, a game of beach volleyball, a seagull, sea otter, a crab and of course, a snack hut. I also thought the plane flying overhead with an advertisement was so typical. In addition, the text rhymes which enhances the reading for the little ones. When I was younger (many years ago), I loved books that had rhymes in them. The author has also placed 3 hidden objects in the text. When done, the little ones can go back through the text and see if they can find them.
