Overview

Turned at twenty-one, Mamie Richards has been a vampire for quite a few years now, but she's never had a serious relationship. Well . . . that's probably because vampires aren't really good at keeping relationships. Since vampires don't age, they have to move around a lot. Not only that but they often seduce humans to feed off them-which doesn't lend well if you're committed to one person. And things do get tricky when their lover starts to age and they look just as young as ever! But Mamie can't help it when she meets Carol, and soon, the pair fall in love. Originally from the American Midwest, Mamie now lives in London, Ontario, and there, she starts a new life with Carol. As their relationship develops, Carol reaches a crossroads, where she is not sure if she should continue to work or go to college, and Mamie needs to become more creative in her ways of getting blood. When Mamie joins a group of blood-giving goths, she starts to learn some things about vampires she never knew before-things that will make her question herself, others, and everything she ever knew. In the end, Mamie will have to make a decision that will change her life forever. But what about Carol's?
