Growing up in Nutley, New Jersey, Ms. McGee cherished books, language and reading. She often spun her own tales as early as fourth grade. As an experienced English and Reading teacher of elementary and middle-school students, she works hard to provide written texts that promote literacy, communication skills and problem solving. Ms. McGee is also a champion of storytelling through her characters to foster imagination when reading. She also crafts her texts to expose young readers to other cultures. Ms. McGee studied writing at Drew University and human behavior at Montclair State University. She writes in a variety of genres that include: poetry, plays, books, and short stories.
