Author Information

Chi Kin Chan is an assistant professor of the Department of Applied Mathematics, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received his Ph.D. in management science from Lancaster University, U.K. He has published in journals such as Transportation Research, Part B, European Journal of Operational Research, Annals of Operations Research and International Journal of Operations and Production Management. His current research areas include inventory control, supply chain management, forecasting and optimization. Heung Wing Joseph Lee obtained his BSc(Hons) and PhD in 1994 and 1997 respectively, from The University of Western Australia. His PhD degree was awarded with a """"Distinction"""", an accolade that is rarely bestowed by the Board of Postgraduate Studies at The University of Western Australia. He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Applied Mathematics, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is specializing in the computational studies of optimal controls and several other areas in operations research. He has published in Automatica, International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications (JOTA), and other reputable international journals..
