Apart from the acclaimed Everard series he was the author of an SOE trilogy featuring Rosie Ewing. Alexander Fullerton was a cadet at Dartmouth at the age of thirteen and went to sea serving first in the battleship Queen Elizabeth in the Mediterranean. He wrote his first novel SURFACE! in the early 1950s and it sold over 500,000 copies. Then he worked on the 9-volume Nicholas Everard series that made his reputation. He died in February 2008.
