Author Information

Linda O. Enow is a Senior Lecturer in Education and Multi-Professional Practice at Birmingham Newman University, UK. Linda began her career as a secondary English teacher, moving on to Academic English lecturer in HEIs, and after completing her doctorate in Education she has been teaching Education Studies. At university level she has taught foundation degree courses, undergraduate education and professional practice courses, and at postgraduate on the MA and the EdD, including doctoral supervision.Karima Kadi-Hanifi is Director of Studies and Research Supervisor for a number of doctorate students (both EdD and PhD) at Birmingham Newman University. Her field of specialism is Education Studies and in particular critical theory which she has applied in her research. She has a PhD in linguistics from the University of Sheffield, UK, which led her onto post-doctoral research in speech science before a second-phase career in education (Adult, Further and Higher). Among her many publications, she has co-authored a book on EAL for secondary school teachers, and a book on study skills for post-graduate students.
