Overview

The introduction deals with three important questions: To whom did Peter write?When did he write?Why did he write? The answers to these set the tone for the exposition of this short letter, much of which is clear teaching and encouragement. However, there are some difficult passages which include Peter's use of the word 'tartarus' and his statement about 'angels held in dungeons for judgment'.
