He is engaged in teaching, research, and consultancy in structural engineering. He has authored numerous technical publications, one laboratory manual, and one monograph on ‘Reinforced Concrete Steel Fiber Concrete’ (published by Springer) and has edited five books. He is UGC Research Awardee (2014–2016) and State Technical Auditor (STA), Chartered Engineer and Structural consultant involved in planning and design of various infrastructure projects and is a member of several professional bodies.
