Overview

Immerse yourself in the gripping world of STRONGWOOD: An Audio Crime Dossier, the seventh installment in Larry Millett's Minnesota Mysteries Audiobook series. Set in 1903 Minneapolis, this multi-voice audiobook masterfully unravels the harrowing tale of Michael Masterson, a privileged heir whose relationship with the enigmatic Addie Strongwood spirals into tragedy. When Masterson is found dead, Addie stands trial for first-degree murder, igniting a sensational trial-of-the-century case filled with accusations of seduction, betrayal, and blackmail. Through a dynamic blend of trial testimonies, newspaper articles, personal journals, and Addie's own vivid recollections serialized in the Minneapolis Tribune, listeners are drawn deep into the heart of this riveting mystery. Featuring the iconic detective duo Sherlock Holmes and Shadwell Rafferty, STRONGWOOD is brought to life by a talented cast of over 20 voice actors, enhancing the suspense and emotional depth of each character. The audiobook paints a vivid portrait of early 20th-century Minneapolis, exposing the stark contrasts between the city's affluent elite and its working-class citizens. Prepare for a captivating auditory experience where love, wealth, and deceit collide, and every voice carries a piece of the puzzle.
