Overview

Stronger Than the storm follows the journey of a woman named Rae who relocates to Colorado after losing her home and community in Hurricane Katrina. She opens a soup franchise with her husband in downtown Colorado Springs. The legendary soup promises hope but its demise is immediate. The dubious nature of Corporate, missing soup and harebrained excuses plummet her into financial ruin. Branded by bankruptcy, she faces homelessness again, straining her already troubled marriage. During her migration across Colorado, she encounters several women who guide her to a path of courage and self discovery. But will her sojourn lead her to finally finding home?

Rae Daray is an artist and native from New Orleans, Louisiana. In 2005, she relocated to Colorado after being displaced by Hurricane Katrina. After several transitions and more relocations, she has settled in the town of Trinidad in Southern Colorado and continues to show her artwork in galleries throughout Colorado.
