From 2012 to the present she has regularly published essays in the Literary Quarterly and the Threepenny Review, and has recently written an introduction to a new Italian translation of the Joseph Conrad novel The Mirror of the Sea. She is the coauthor of Rembrandt, a Catalogue for a 1989 show of original prints by the artist at the Barclay Simpson Art Gallery in Lafayette, California. Literary executor and editor for the work of award-winning writer Leonard Michaels, she published selected fiction and nonfiction collections of his work in 2007 and 2009. Katharine Michaels is currently working on a fictional memoir called The Fourth Wife. She splits her time between Berkeley, California, and Umbria, Italy. Janet Metzger, an Earphones Award-winning narrator, has performed as a stage, television, voice, and film actor and as a jazz vocalist in hotels and supper clubs. For five years she was the voice of Headline News, now HLN, during which time she also promoted features and news stories for CNN and CNN International. She is a graduate of Florida State University.
