Author Information

Since September 2013, Sharon has been working as a speaker/writer under the name `A Compassionate Voice' with the sole purpose of creatively helping others through her own experiences with mental illness, recovery and wellbeing. Her story has already sparked interest from the media. In 2014, she featured in the national magazine, Woman's Own. Since then, Sharon has been asked to feature in Psychologies magazine, The Sunday Telegraph's Stella magazine, The Daily Express, and has also featured in regional press. She is regularly asked to take part in interviews on radio stations. Sharon's debut TV appearance was on ITV's This Morning in July 2017. She has also appeared on a special edition of Inside Out (BBC East Midlands) that focused on debt. Sharon has written articles for Action for Happiness, The Wildlife Trust, Everyday Mindfulness, Fab After Fifty, and The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. A blogger for The Huffington Post, she has published articles not only raising awareness for mental health, but also for animal welfare issues - another subject close to her heart. Sharon's speaker packages have already been a huge success at mental health seminars, annual conferences, well-being exhibitions, and animal welfare events.
