She is a classically trained performer, lover of her community but most importantly she is a human being. Graduating from the Humber College Theatre Performance Program at the top of her class, Vanessa has developed a passion for telling stories through written and verbal poetry that has led her to perform on many stages across the GTA. Vanessa is the founder of the POC Culture Organization (@poc.culture) which seeks to build the Black arts culture in the GTA by giving artists and creatives a platform to share their art in their community while inviting the population to witness and support the talent their community has to offer. POC Culture has recently been recognized by the City of Brampton as a recipient of the Mayor's Making Black History Award for February of 2019. As an ambassador for her community, Vanessa partners with and sits as director and board chair for non-profit organizations that focus on the empowerment of young marginalized women.
