Stephanie Thibeault is a second-career nursing student working toward her goal to become a hospice nurse practitioner. She has more than 10 years experience in administration and human resources, and has devoted significant time to volunteer work in the social service and healthcare sectors. She developed an award-winning Web site for nursing students (The Student Nurse Forum) and has also published a monthly journal, The Student Nurse Advisor.Contributing author Polly Gerber Zimmermann, RN, MS, MBA, CEN, has been in active in emergency and medical-surgical nursing clinical practice for more than 29 years and involved in nurse educating for more than 10 years. She was the senior course manager for the nursing division of the National Center for Advanced Medical Education, and is a tenured assistant professor in the Department of Nursing at the Harry S. Truman College, Chicago, IL.
