OverviewThe topic of stress among college and university students has been the subject of research for many years. High levels of stress in students can lead to poor academic performance, depression, attrition, and serious health problems. Therefore, research on how students deal with their stress levels can have important implications for higher education. Many students that undergo a considerable amount of stress while attending graduate school are education graduate students. The stress that students' encounter are due to the demands associated with home, school, and/or work. This book, therefore, provides an insight on what stress-related factors that education graduate students experienced while in graduate school and the coping resources and strategies that they use to handle their stress.
