OverviewAre you interested in developing more capabilities that can transform your life and relationships? Giving Love and Encouragement delves into two of these capabilities of Transformative Leadership. Do you think that love a feeling over which we have no control? Or can we decide to love and increase our ability to love? The book includes numerous practices that we can apply first to increase our thoughts of love, then learn to be more loving in our words and actions. Love is also the basis for giving encouragement to others. To motivate others, we need attitudes of abundance and acceptance, coupled with positive expectations. We complement these attitudes with skills in praising effectively, in helping others to understand the significance of their work, in giving them opportunities to develop their potential and in focusing on their effort and what they are doing well. When you finish this book, you will have a variety of practices that you can use both in your personal and professional life to give greater love and encouragement to those around you.
