Henry Watts doesn't want a cat. Unfortunately, the cat hasn't gotten the memo. Still reeling from the abrupt departure of his long-term partner, Henry returns home from work one evening to find a cat perched on his doorstep, staring at him like it knows something he doesn't. When the cat refuses to leave, Henry begrudgingly takes it in. Becoming a reluctant cat owner also brings Ivy Kohl into his life - a sharp, luminous woman determined to dismantle Henry's well-practiced solitude. In spite of himself, he is drawn in.
